Sustainable
Sustainability in our adventure courses is not an afterthought - it's part of the original game plan.
Our expertise is in designing courses that fit seamlessly into their natural environment, leaving the smallest footprint on the land. That means we use environmentally sound products. We use available timbers on-site whenever possible. We use expert installation methods that are minimally intrusive to the trees and other natural features. Simply put, we build environmentally sustainable programs that will stand the test of time.
Commitment to the environment
We've developed the best arboreal systems in the industry. Some of our accomplishments: - Our designs, construction techniques and operational systems use minimal equipment and materials
- We use local labor, supplies and services whenever possible - leaving a positive effect on the community
- Attach structures to the environment in least invasive manner
- Remove as little biomass as possible and only as a last resort
- Make every effort to utilize natural resources of the site
- Harvest timber utilizing selective forestry practices when possible
- Choose FSC-Certified lumber and 100% post consumer fiber products when if needed
- Preference for domestic steel products for wire rope and platforms
- Source materials and equipment as close to the site as possible
- Minimize air travel by lengthening crew rotations
- Practice recycling of crew waste products
